When I am short stacked I tend to play conservative. Not too conservative though, if I get a decent hand I would play it. But when you get a hand like a 9 4 off suit how you suppose to get a decent hand without luck? My friends sometiems get pissed off when I fold alot especially when I'm in the final 2 and low stacked because the other player wants to win and knock me out. What am I suppse to do play with the worst hands? Anybody else have this problem or it happens to them alot?

In my opinion when your short stack and heads up, your best move is to be extremeley tight and extremely agressive. If you get a premium hand go all-in before the flop, and your opponent may call out of frusturation.

If he lays down then you just bought yourself some time. Eventually your opponent will call, and then hopefully your hand will hold up.

No, during heads up you must play loose.

At that stage the blinds are high, so the tournament will be decided pretty fast. Lets say your heads up you and your opponent each have stacks of 1000 chips, with 50/100 blinds. If you get hands like 9 4 os 8 hands in a row, and fold trying to play tight, you just went for being even to being down 4:1 in chips.

During heads up, you must bet aggressively with what you believe is the best hand. Any Ax should be pushed and raised. I think you see my point, good luck.

Yeah thats what happens to me I end up folding alot when I am short stacked and not getting decent cards. I basically start doing what you said above though. I play agressively when I get hands that I think I can work with, if not a FOLD is good for me if the blinds aren't high

I would wait to get blinded out before playing a dog like 94off. But you might have to bluff sometimes when you don't want to....the old "go out kicking and screaming" thing.

Concentrate on how you got to that point and were behind in the first place. If you are talking about low limit sit and go tourneys, then luck becomes a bigger factor than in ring games.

Unless you're on your last few chips being killed by the blinds, don't go in with crap. As someone said above, you've got to be extremely tight, but as soon as a reasonable hand comes up you go all-in, pray the other guy calls and you've got him beat.

It's double up or you're out at heads up stage. Theres nothing wrong with folding, as ballen said 94o is a crap hand, total crap, and anyone that wins a pot with it is a lucky son of a...

This is strange. First of all, any time you open an Android app, it's going to stay in memory even after you close it because that's how Linux works. It pages memory for apps and only clears when the OS needs it. Second of all, when I get a phone call on my Nexus One and I'm listening to music, it pauses Last.FM and switches to the call. Does yours do this as well? If not, there seems to be a strange bug and I would suggest removing and reinstalling it.
